Our first IRL catch-up: Extensions 2022
Yep, you read right, we just held our very first One Roof Agency in-person team catch up!
Flying into Sydney from the GC (Gold Coast) and G-town (Geelong), the team settled into the meeting room of our friends at PMA Digital in Woolloomooloo, but not before receiving a fun ‘lil photo challenge. Provided with a (slightly random… ‘zat you Santa Claus?) list of things to snap, it was game on to see who would win!
#SydneySnaps aside, we put our heads together and worked on refreshing our mission, vision and purpose, business processes and procedures and social media strategy.
We were entertained and inspired by the always smiling paralympian turned motivational speaker (and all round top bloke), Don Elgin. His story and can-do attitude is just ‘wow’ – full of positivity and so powerful! And his infectious smile… well, it was definitely spread around the room and remained well after he left. We were also provided with an overview on PMA Digital by Co-founder and CEO, Anthony Lynn. A partner agency who we love having under our roof, and who are seriously kicking goals in all the work they do.
Being together as a team for the first time also meant that we got to have a bit of fun (ok, a lot of fun) in front of the camera and create our very first company video. A huge thank you to our special guest Gaby from Five by Five Web Design for the client meeting, web-conference backdrop and the team at New Heights Media – Australia for the amazing direction and production.
And what’s a catch up in Sydney without venturing out onto the Harbour! A fantastic way to catch the sights on a balmy Autumn night, before enjoying dinner (well rice for some, thanks to a bit of motion sickness) at the amazing China Doll at Woolloomooloo Wharf.
Day two, we spent the morning client mapping. A session to not only focus on our current clients but to throw it open for suggestions and create a wishlist of businesses we would love to work with in the future (and woah, what a list!). It was then a quick bite to eat at the Kings Cross Hotel before our goodbyes and venturing back to our home states.
Working remotely makes these IRL catch ups an absolute blast. Serious in what we do, but seriously fun at the same time and we CANNOT WAIT for the next one! #SeeYouOnTheSlack
